Motorists faced delays after an accident between a cement mixer and a car on a main road this morning.

The crash took place around 7.40am outside the Jobcentre on The Brook, Chatham.

The accident meant the road was blocked and as a result queues built up back to Brompton along Dock Road.

Traffic was also queuing back towards the junction between the A2 and Union Street.

No one is believed to have been injured and a passerby said it appeared both drivers were out of the vehicles.

Police arrived on scene at 7.50am, and the road was clear by 8am.
