Ryan Restell can’t stop scoring for Chatham which is good news for new boss Paul Foley a week away from the start of the new Ryman League Division 1 South season.
The youngster took his pre-season tally to six in six games with two in the 4-1 win over Ebbsfleet at Maidstone Road on Tuesday, and proved a constant threat to the visitors, who fielded several youngsters and trialists in their side.
Restell took advantage of poor defending to put the Chats ahead after only 11 minutes, before Fleet levelled eight minutes later. He got his second just past the half-hour, Gary Ward added the third five minutes after the break, and Joe Fuller rounded things off with a fourth two minutes from time.
Former Gillingham youngster Andy Pugh scored twice as Welling won 3-0 at Maidstone Road on Saturday.
Meanwhile skipper Danny Penny (pictured) is waiting for an MRI scan on his knee injury, before knowing the extent of the damage.
Chatham are at home to Maidstone on Saturday (3pm), before rounding off their pre-season programme with another home game against Folkestone on Monday.
