It's lessons as normal today at a secondary school where a member of staff tested positive Covid-19.
As a result of the diagnosis of the Strood Academy employee, three other members of staff have been advised to self-isolate.
The news broke on Friday with school managers saying staff and parents had been informed.
But over the weekend some people said the first they knew of the positive finding was when they read it on KentOnline .
Richard Taylor, of the Leigh Academy Trust which runs the school, said: "Letters were sent to all parents who had children in the academy at the same time as the infected person and we are writing to all remaining parents today to make them aware of the case.
"As an academy we already have multiple safety measures in place in line with the Government's guidelines for schools to prevent cross transmission within the academy.
"In response to the confirmed case, we have taken steps to self-isolate anyone who has had close contact with them in line with the guidance from Public Health England (PHE).
"There are no students affected by this and therefore all students are attending the academy as normal.
"The infected person has had a positive test result but as yet no other members of staff have had confirmed test results.
"The member of staff was not part of the reception team but did sit in the reception area away from the main reception desk.
"We have traced everyone they had close contact with and they have self isolated accordingly in line with guidance from PHE.
"We have had no cases of onward transmission within school and therefore we are open and operating as normal in line with our Covid-secure arrangements."
