Schoolgirl raped by teenage boy as she sat on park bench in Gillingham

A schoolgirl was raped on a park bench by a teenage boy.

An e-fit has now been released by detectives in an effort to track down her attacker, who is thought to be around 16.

It is reported to have happened in Gillingham Park in Park Avenue.

A girl in her mid-teens was approached by the boy as she sat on a bench, on , on Saturday, May 18 between 4pm and 8pm

He reportedly grabbed her and raped her.

The suspect was white, 5ft 5ins, of medium build with mousey coloured hair that was long on top.

He wore grey Nike trainers with a white sole and black jeans. He had a deep voice and was wearing glasses with thin lenses that were rectangular in shape.

Detective Inspector Matt Banks said: "We are keen to hear from anyone who may recognise the person in the image as he may have important information about our investigation."
