Concerns grow for missing couple Louis Bond and Rebecca Smallcalder last seen in Gillingham High Street

An urgent search has been launched for a missing couple last seen together in a high street.

Louis Bond and Rebecca Smallcalder have been missing from Gillingham since yesterday (January 6).

Officers are seeking help to locate the two missing people who were the subject of two separate missing persons appeals issued by police but are now thought to be together.

They were last seen with each other walking in Gillingham High Street at around 2.30pm yesterday (January 6).

Louis, 31, is described as being white, 5ft 5ins, of slim build and with a shaved head.

He was wearing a black woollen hat, orange and black workman’s trousers and black boots. He was carrying a black rucksack.

Louis was also wearing a reflective jacket that he is thought to have since discarded.

Rebecca, 26, is white, of slim build, 5ft 11ins and with dark hair which she wears in a ponytail.

She was wearing a black top, black trousers, a long grey and white scarf and trainers. Rebecca was also carrying a plastic bag and a grey handbag.

Chief Inspector Garry Cook said: “Our enquiries to locate Louis led us to identify that Rebecca had not been seen after leaving work on the same day.

“Officers have been completing enquiries to locate them and have identified they were together in Gillingham High Street during the afternoon of Monday 6 January.

“We are very concerned for their welfare and are urging members of the public to contact us if they see either of them.”

Residents in the Gillingham area including Brompton and the Great Lines are urged to check for relevant CCTV footage.

Motorists are also asked to review and dashcam footage. Anyone with information should call 999, quoting reference 06-0983.
