A second man has been arrested as part of the search for missing teenager Grace Fisher.
The 16-year-old, from Gillingham, was last seen on Friday, October 13, and despite an extensive police search, she has not yet been found.
New CCTV footage was recovered yesterday (November 3) by police officers which showed Grace near Chatham Bus Station at around 10.30pm the day she disappeared, walking with a man who is not believed to be known to her.
They were then seen captured again walking in The Brook at around 11.30pm.
She was later seen on Saturday, October 14, at around 11am in the Jackson’s Field area, near City Way, Rochester, wearing a grey jumper with a black New York emblem, black leggings and white Nike trainers.
A local man, in his 20s, was arrested yesterday as part of the search for the missing teenager and is thought to be the person she was seen with in Chatham.
He has since been released on bail until February 3 pending further inquiries.
Detective Inspector Scott Relf said: “This is the second arrest we have made in connection to the investigation. A man who was previously arrested remains on bail.
“Grace if you are reading this then I want to encourage you to get in touch with us, we want to ensure you are safe and remind you that you are not in trouble.”
The youngster sometimes uses the names Rosie or Harmony and has links to Medway, Maidstone and Camden in London.
Another man in his 20s was previously arrested on October 19 as part of the investigation. He was released on bail until January 16.
Several potential sightings of Grace have been reported after she appeared on Channel 5’s “Vanished: Search for Britain's Missing”, made by ITN Productions, which sees presenter Dan Walker investigate missing person cases.
Following Wednesday's episode, a record number of helpline calls were made to the charity Missing People.
More than 150 calls were received over three hours, averaging one call per minute of the live programme including three potential sightings of Grace.
Journalist Dan Walker said: “These figures demonstrate the power of public service broadcasting at its best.
“The response to series one was incredible, so it is great to be back and to see the impact Vanished is already having with potential leads and the messages of support from the audience.”
Anyone who has seen Grace or knows where she is should call 999, quoting reference 13-1191.
The Missing People Helpline is on 116000 and is open every day for anyone affected by or who is thinking of going missing.
