A second man has been charged in connection with a double stabbing over the weekend.

Two men were injured in the incident in Upper Luton Road, Chatham, on Sunday.

Warren Paul Bennett, 28, of Upper Luton Road, was charged with grievous boldly harm with intent.

He is due to appear in court today (Wednesday).

He was injured in the incident and was arrested after he was released from hospital yesterday. (Dec 22)

Richard Peter Mumford, 28, also of Upper Luton Road, was charged with GBH with intent earlier this week and was remanded in custody until the New Year after appearing at Medway Magistrates' court yesterday.

Mumford was arrested in the early hours of Sunday.

Both men, from Chatham, were taken to Medway Maritime Hospital for surgery.

One remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Two women arrested in connection with the incident have been released without charge.
