Police are appealing for information after a serious sexual assault on a woman in a town centre car park early this morning.

The incident is alleged to have happened between 1am and 3am today, at a car park in Corporation Street, Rochester, between the junctions of Blue Boar Lane and Northgate.

Detectives are urging anyone with information which may help the investigation - including people who may have attended the nearby City Wall wine bar - to come forward.

Officers say they are continuing to pursue several inquires and an investigation is being led by the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate.

Motorists with dashcam who may have been in the area, as well as residents with doorbell cameras or CCTV, are also asked to check for any footage.
