Shed burglars in court

Two burglars have been fined after pleading guilty to breaking into a shed in Strood.
The pair were caught by neighbourhood officers as they tried to take tools from the outbuilding in Holly Road.
Darren Alan Foskett, 35 and Wayne Scott Hart, 31 both of Lilac Road, Strood, were arrested on Thursday, June 4.
Neighbourhood officers were carrying out routine patrols when they spotted the pair.
Both men pleaded guilty to burglary and were sentenced at Medway Magistrates’ Court, on Friday, June 26.
They were each fined £200 and ordered to pay £75 costs.
Chief Insp Peter de Lozey said: “This case proves the value that local neighbourhood patrols can bring.
“Officers were able to detain the suspects on the spot and they have since been dealt with by the courts.
“Medway has seen a reduction in burglaries recently and we have a great record in convicting the minority of people who carry out these kind of offences.”
