Motorists trying to get to work in this morning's rush hour faced delays as snow started to fall in Medway.
Motorists were advised to take extra care as they made their way to work or schools.
Traffic came to a standstill on the London-bound carriageway on the M2/A2 at Cuxton as the white stuff started to fall at about 7.30am.
Cars were also moving slowly between Strood and Gravesend because of the snow.
At Blue Bell Hill, on the A229 in Chatham at the Taddington roundabout, a traffic light failure on the slip road for the coastbound carriageway of the M2 which also caused delays for motorists.
Forecasters have put out weather warnings for ice and snow across the country and in Medway the snow is expected to fall for the next couple of hours.
It is not believed at this stage that any schools have been affected by the snow.
