David Young with daughters Aliyah and Latia
by Lynn Cox
The young daughters of knife victim David Young have sent notes up to heaven for their dad asking him to come back to them, their mother has revealed.
Kirsty Bryant has been talking exclusively about her family's struggle with grief following the death of David after he was stabbed on New Year's Day in Gillingham.
She has also spoken of the joyous times they spent together and of the fond memories they now cherish in the wake of the tragedy.
Kirsty and David (pictured right) would have been getting married this year to complete their happy family life with their two daughters, Aliyah, eight and Latia, five.
Heartbroken Kirsty, 27, said David, her childhood sweetheart, was a devoted dad to her two girls.
David, 28, of Beatty Avenue, Gillingham, died on Saturday, January 5, at Medway Maritime Hospital. Two teenagers have been charged in connection with the attack which led to his death.
Kirsty had been with David since they were 14 and she said he lived for his family.
She said: "We've never been separated, we used to have so much fun together with the girls, he was a great dad and partner.
"We were always going out and would take the girls everywhere, he was all about the girls."
