Paul Townsend starts his weekend with a delivery of £1,000 thanks to kmfm.

The Chatham-based listener texted the radio station earlier today to be entered into its Thousand Pound Friday' competition.

Out of the thousands who entered, Paul was chosen at random.

It was then Rob Wills' job on Drivetime to make the surprise call back.

Paul had just arrived back home ready to begin his weekend when he answered his phone and it was not long until he realised he had won the money.

He says he plans to take a break with the family, saying it had been "so long" since the last time that they went away together.

Paul said he "didn't expect to win at all".

The kmfm Street Team hand delivered his money to him straight away.
