A burnt out and stolen moped was found in the Towns earlier today.

Officers from the Medway Task Force discovered the destroyed bike near playing fields in Chatham this morning.

It was later identified to have been stolen and police are advising people to keep their property secure.

Kent Police Medway tweeted: "In addition to chains & locks, where possible keep your vehicle out of view to minimise the risk of it being stolen by opportunist thieves."
