A teenager was abducted, stripped naked, robbed and assaulted in a "nasty, vicious" two-hour attack, a court heard.
High on drink and drugs, Daniel Childe-Freeman further humiliated Ben Abbott by having him filmed on a mobile phone.
A judge told the 20-year-old thug on Friday that his behaviour was worse than an animal.
Childe-Freeman, of Willow Road, Strood, was sentenced to two-and-half years youth custody after admitting kidnap, robbery and assault causing actual bodily harm.
Nathan Young, 19, formerly of Shipwrights Avenue, Chatham, avoided being locked up after admitting the assault charge.
He was sentenced to six months youth custody suspended for two years, with 80 hours unpaid work and a curfew.
Maidstone Crown Court heard Childe-Freeman suspected Mr Abbott's girlfriend of stealing Young's wallet at the Endeavour Foyer in Chatham.
Childe-Freeman and another youth approached Mr Abbott on July 9 in the High Street and questioned him about the wallet.
Ben Temple, prosecuting, said the victim, 19, was walked along the road and Childe-Freeman took his mobile phone and £4.50.
He then ordered Mr Abbott to take off his T-shirt, socks and trainers.
The other youth then filmed Childe-Freeman slapping Mr Abbott in the face.
"It is a nasty, vicious, sadistic attack which follows," said Mr Temple.
The victim was ordered to lick and kiss one of his trainers. The other youth left and Childe-Freeman took Mr Abbott to Scottswood Hill.
While there, the police rang Mr Abbott but Childe-Freeman ordered him to say he did not want any help and ended the call.
They walked on further and the victim was made to strip to his boxer shorts.
Young joined them and Mr Abbott was told to remove his shorts. His hands were tied behind his back with a plastic bag.
He was allowed to put his shorts back on but Childe-Freeman pushed him into stinging nettles and then into a ditch. A hat was put over his eyes.
Childe-Freeman hit him with a stick on legs. He fell into a ditch and Young pulled him onto his knees and kicked and punched him.
Childe-Freeman "fly-kicked" the victim, then punched him splitting his nose. The other youth took a photo.
The three then left Mr Abbott, still with his hands tied.
Childe-Freeman later told a friend he had taken the victim to woods and "bashed him about", breaking his nose.
