Students faced anxious waits throughout the day after an error led to delays in their results being published.
The nervous day for many at MidKent College - which has sites in Maidstone and Gillingham - was made worse with many youngsters not receiving their grades on time.
It has not been revealed what caused the problem but college staff were forced to field calls and tweets throughout the day as worried students and parents contacted them to try to find out information.
One parent said they were told to expect news at 9am, 10am and then noon before her son eventually found out at 4.30pm.
However in a statement on Friday morning, college principal Simon Cook confirmed some students had still not been sent their results.
Mr Cook said: "We’re aware that a small number of students didn’t receive their results yesterday as anticipated.
"I can fully understand why those students, and their families, are frustrated with this and I’m sorry for the undue concern this has caused students who have already had a disrupted year.
"Our priority at the moment is to ensure that those students who are waiting for results receive them as quickly as possible.
"Our exams team is contacting those students with further information today."
Level 3 courses, which include A-levels or diplomas and NVQs in vocational subjects, were affected.
But it has not been confirmed how many students have been impacted or how many results still remain outstanding.
Parents claimed there was little information given by the college to explain the situation adding to the concerns and stresses of the day.
Staff were trying to ensure all affected students will have their results "by the end of the day" on Thursday.
The college posted on its social media on Wednesday advising people it would be sending the results to personal email addresses.
Anyone with queries has been advised to contact the exams department at exams@midkent.ac.uk or call 01634 383150.
