An alleged drug dealer has been charged after about 500 wraps of suspected heroin and crack cocaine were seized from a property.

They were found by police during a routine check of a building in the Grange Hill area of Chatham yesterday.

Officers became suspicious when they smelled what was believed to be cannabis coming from the address.

Ryeene Cowan, of Fenton Close in Stockwell, has been charged with possessing heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply, being concerned in the supply of a class A drug and possessing cannabis.

The 22-year-old has been remanded in custody to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, August 8.
