Officers investigating reports that a man was acting suspiciously outside a school are satisfied “there were no sinister intentions”.
Last week Wayfield Primary in Chatham sent out a mass text message to all parents after concern raised over a man making suspicious comments to two adults and two children in Wayfield Road, Chatham.
It read: “Please ensure all children are collected after school today. Man acting suspiciously has been spotted in the area. Police are investigating. Thank you.”
After investigations a police spokeswoman said: “Following this report, officers have investigated the matter and are satisfied there were no sinister intentions and no criminal offences.”
The school’s head teacher and The Griffin School Trust, which sponsors the academy, were not available for comment.
