Staff, including teachers, could face losing their jobs at a primary school.
It is believed up to 20 positions at the Academy of Woodlands in Gillingham are being considered for redundancy.
These include five teachers, five teaching assistants and 10 other staff who work at the Woodlands Road school.
Bosses have not responded to inquiries from KentOnline about the situation.
The academy has invested in a sports and arts centre, as well as a cafe next door.
It receives income from hire charges to the public but because of lockdown restrictions this has been hit hard.
Cllr Clive Johnson, Labour's spokesman for children's services, has asked for clarification of the situation.
He said: "If the rumours are true, this is a worrying development for teachers and staff who have maintained safety and educational standards for pupils during this period and the commitment they have shown.
"Another issue is the impact on young people's educational standards and pupil attainment particularly when their education had been disrupted for months."
The school hires out facilities, including a community gym, dance studios, conference rooms, air-conditioned theatre, music rehearsal room and football pitch to a wide range of groups in the community.
The centre opened in November 2003 with its first client being a dance group, Splinters, and went from strength to strength. It has recently become a live music venue.

Its cafe, Treetops, opened in November 2014. All of these facilities have been closed during lockdown.
The school has 726 pupils on its roll, aged between three and 11.
At its last Ofsted inspection last December, it got a rating of Good.
