A teenager has been arrested after he was found in possession of 45 wraps of suspected crack cocaine and heroin.
Police stopped the 16-year-old who was acting suspiciously in Best Street, Chatham on Monday, May 15.
They noticed the teen was attempting to hide from them on a routine patrol and searched the area before arresting him at around 11.15am.
Upon searching him, they seized the suspected class A drugs, along with two mobile phones and money.
The boy was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply.
A search warrant was later carried out at an address in Strood, where officers found an extendable style baton and the teen was further arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon.
He has been bailed until Sunday, August 6, while further inquiries are carried out.
