An 18-year-old girl was hit by a car as it overtook a bus in Luton Road, Chatham.

The teenager was getting off a bus at around 9.50pm last night when she was hit by a Blue Ford Focus travelling near the junction with Pheasant Road.

She suffered serious injuries and was taken to Kings College Hospital in London.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the incident.
