A teenager has been treated for the effects of smoke inhalation after a kitchen blaze in Hempstead.

Firefighters were called to Lambsfrith Grove at 3.35pm to reports of a fire, which had spread from a cooker to the rest of the kitchen.

There are no reports of any further injuries and the fire is thought to be accidental.

The woman was treated by paramedics at the scene.
