Teenager arrested after cocaine and heroin seized

A 17-year-old was arrested after community police officers seized suspected cocaine and heroin.

Officers from Medway Community Policy Team became suspicious of two males leaving an alleyway in the Balmoral Road area of Gillingham yesterday evening (Wednesday, July 21).

They searched the teenager in Duncan Road, and seized 150 wraps of the class A drugs and a baton.

Police arrested the boy on suspicion of possession class A drugs with intent to supply and possessing an offensive weapon.

The boy, from Gillingham, was arrested on suspicion of possession class A drugs with intent to supply and possessing an offensive weapon.

He was later released pending further inquiry.
