A teenager who escaped with a conditional caution after he was caught dealing in a Class A drug later went out and committed a similar offence, a court heard.
When arrested the second time, Mohammed Mujamder struggled and tried to swallow 24 wraps of heroin and crack cocaine.
The 18-year-old, of no fixed address, was given no more chances when he appeared at Maidstone Crown Court on Tuesday and was sentenced to three years youth custody.
Prosecutor James Wing said Mujamder was given the conditional caution for possessing heroin with intent to supply on June 8 this year.
Her fulfilled all the conditions imposed, including one-to-one sessions, but on November 11 a police officer spotted him dealing in Chatham High Street.
Mr Wing said Mujamder was seen with a known addict, who had a £20 note in his hand.
The teenager then put up a struggle and stuffed 15 wraps of crack cocaine and nine wraps of heroin into his mouth.
When his home was searched a lump of crack cocaine worth about £500 was seized, along with digital scales and a phone containing drug related text messages.
Mujamder admitted three offences of possessing the drugs with intent to supply when he appeared by video link with Belmarsh Prison in Thamesmead, south east London.
Kerry Moore, defending, said the teenager had been working and also enrolled at college, but fell into bad company.
“He became involved in drug dealing again,” said Mr Moore. “He accepts it was for money.”
He added: “His parents no longer live in this country and have disowned him.”
Judge Adele Wiliams said: “It is a great tragedy he had not taken advantage of the conditional caution.”
