Two teenagers have been arrested after reports firearms were seen in a residential street.
Police were called to Balmoral Road, Gillingham, just before 6pm last night.
Officers found two BB guns at the scene and two boys were arrested on suspicion of possessing an imitation firearm in a public place, in nearby Windsor Road.
The boys, both aged 14, have been released pending further inquiries.
A resident, who did not wish to be named, said he saw police cars driving up and down Windsor Road but didn’t think anything of it until he heard shouting.
He said: “At first I thought it was a domestic but I looked out the window and saw all the police cars.
“They had been driving up and down the road but then all hell broke loose. The police had guns.
“There were two men lying on the floor.”
