A jihadi who called himself The Eagle and plotted to murder 100 people on the streets of London has had his sentence cut.

The Old Bailey heard the initial sentence of life with a minimum term of 15 years imposed on 27-year-old Lewis Ludlow earlier this month had been 'miscalculated'.

The former Royal Mail worker, of Warren Wood Road, on the Warren Wood Estate, Rochester, had pleaded guilty to charges of preparing acts of terror and and was entitled to a larger reduction to his term than he was given, Judge Nicholas Hilliard QC ruled, cutting the minimum term to 13 years and two months.

Ludlow, a former Thomas Aveling pupil, planned to use a van to mow down shoppers outside the Disney Store in Oxford Street.

He'd filmed himself pledging allegiance to Islamic State and had attempted to fly to the Philippines.

Prosecutors claimed he wanted to join the terror group in the country but Ludlow argued he was actually a sex tourist.
