The Wanted will be in Rochester this July
Boy band The Wanted will perform at Rochester’s Castle Concerts this summer.
Max, Nathan, Tom, Jay and Siva have become one of Britain’s biggest pop bands since they performed in Medway alongside The Saturdays in 2010.
Shortly after they played their debut single All Time Low on the Castle Concerts stage, it went straight to number one. Now the boys are headlining their own show on Thursday, July 18.
Completing the line-up this year is an 80s Night featuring Tony Hadley, ABC, and Go West on Friday, July 19.
As lead singer of Spandau Ballet, Hadley has sung countless hits including True, Gold and Through The Barricades. Martin Fry and ABC will be showcasing favourites such as Poison Arrow and All of My Heart, while Go West will get the crowds rocking to their hits including Call Me and We Close Our Eyes.
Tickets for both concerts are £35 each and go on sale at 10am on Monday.
Fans are already booking to see rockers Status Quo who kick off the Castle Concerts on Wednesday, July 17 (£35). Tickets are also on sale for the Castle Proms on Saturday, July 20 (£30).
Cllr Howard Doe, who is in charge of community services, said: “The Castle Concerts are unique among music festivals in the south-east because of their initimate setting and amazing atmosphere as well as the calibre of perfomers who play here.
"It really is one of the few places you can really get close up to some of the best live performers around, and we’re very proud of this year’s line up which once again offers something for everyone."
Tickets are available online www.thecastleconcerts.co.uk, in person at The Central and Brook theatres or on 01634 338338.
