Three men have been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences after officers chased a suspect on foot.
After concerns were raised in August about anti-social behaviour and drug-dealing in Hoo, patrols were increased to tackle the problem.
As a result, on Sunday, September 18, officers patrolling the village stopped a car travelling down Pottery Road, at around 1pm, with four people inside.
A 19-year-old man was then chased by police and arrested where he was found in possession of cash, mobile phones and cannabis.
Following his arrest officers searched a nearby address where two more men, aged 20 and 26, were arrested after cannabis and evidence of drug dealing inside the property was uncovered.
The trio, all from Hoo, have since been released under investigation pending further inquiries.
The increased police presence came after Sergeant Steve Holpin, of the Medway Community Safety Unit, attending a meeting with villagers last month.
A police spokesman said: "Officers will continue to patrol the area. Anyone with concerns around anti-social behaviour can report these online."
