Traffic has been building on the M2 after a crash involving three cars.

One lane was closed on the coastbound carriageway between junction 3 for Walderslade and junction 2 for Rochester.

Highways England officers were on the scene.

In a tweet, the organisation said: "Lane four is closed due to a multi-vehicle collision. Traffic officers are on the scene assisting. Please drive with caution through the area and do not use closed lanes."

The lane has now reopened and normal traffic conditions are expected soon.

Kent Police did not attend.
