Traffic was brought to a standstill near a town centre following a collision between a car and police car on blue lights.
Emergency crews were called at about 12.30pm to the accident in Maidstone Road, Chatham, at the junction of Southill Road.

Paramedics were called to treat the occupants of a black Audi, including a woman.
Diversions were put in place between Chatham railway station, where a police car blocked off the road.
It happened near the Elis linen hire and cleaning company in Maidstone Road where the car crashed into railings.
Three police cars and an ambulance were sent to at the scene.
Several buses got stuck in the gridlock and it is understood, the people involved only suffered minor injuries.
A police spokesman said: "At around midday, a police vehicle travelling to an emergency call in Chatham was involved in a collision with another car.
"The South East Coast Ambulance Service are at the scene where two police officers and a member of the public are being treated for minor injuries."
Police closed the road to recover vehicles and bring in the serious collision investigators to assess the scene.
It had cleared by this afternoon and investigations are ongoing, police confirmed.
