Two thugs have been jailed for the sadistic torture of two young men.
A judge described the incident as “shocking and depraved” and he believed it was no exaggeration when one of the victims said he thought he would die.
Jason Grainger was jailed for four years with a further three years’ licence period under an extended sentence. Gavin Bond was jailed for three-and-a-half years.
Grainger, of Burnett Mews, Rochester, and Bond, of Covey Hall Road, Snodland, admitted two charges of false imprisonment and two of assault causing actual bodily harm.
Maidstone Crown Court heard Grainger had been evicted from a flat in Luton Road, Chatham, and blamed Andrew Spicer for 'grassing’ on him.
Grainger, 27, and Bond, 25, went to the flats on April 23 while Mr Spicer was at home watching DVDs with friend Craig Law.
Jane Scotchmer, prosecuting, said Mr Spicer let them in after they threatened to smash the door down.
Bond kicked the door closed and locked it. Grainger grabbed a butter knife and held it to Mr Spicer’s throat. He also punched him.
Bond brandished a knife and struck Mr Spicer’s hand hard with the flat blade. Bond then punched him and kicked him.
Grainger joined in, kicking him in the face, causing his nose to “explode”.
