Boxer Tom Dallas is one week away from topping the bill on home soil and will be gunning for his 14th straight win against Hungarian Gabor Farkas.
The undefeated Chatham heavyweight will be one of six Kent boxers competing at Medway Park Leisure Centre next Friday night.
Professional boxing will return to the Medway Towns for the first time since Johnny Armour and Harry Dhami graced the same venue, then the Black Lion Leisure Centre, back in May 1997.
Farkas recently went the distance with Claus Bertino in Denmark, a man ranked higher in the world standings than Dallas and his manager Mark Roe hopes a KO next week will once again prove how good the Chatham man is.
Roe said: "If we can do a better job than Bertino then it shows we’re moving in the right direction."

Dallas recently returned from a week’s sparring with former European title holder Albert Sosnowski and will be primed for action when he competes professionally in Kent for the first time.
Roe, who is jointly organising next week’s event, is planning a busy spring for Dallas.
There is already a second boxing show pencilled in at Medway Park for May 3, where Dallas is set to star once more, while he is also on the May 13 show in Brentwood with promoter Frank Maloney.
