They visited the centre in Mill Road to find out from staff how the centre could help Tom get fit and ready to play his new role in Captain America: Civil War, from the Marvel comics series.
The star could not resist posting a video on Instagram and gave fans a glimpse of what kind of moves he might be working on.
His athletic jumps and somersaults were impressive to watch.
While there on Thursday, he was also able to take away some equipment so he can continue practising at his home.
He posted: “Thank you @GymaidLtd and GJTC for an awesome day and thank you so much for the awesome Airtrack mat. I can’t wait to have a play.
“It was so good to be back in the gym so thank you thank you thank you for getting me started again!”
The video was liked by followers almost 9,000 times and more than 850 fans commented on the post.
The movie, which is set for release in May next year, will also star Robert Downey Junior, as Iron Man, and Chris Evans as Captain America, as well as Scarlett Johansson, and William Hurt.
It is a sequel to 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger and 2014’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
The movie sees an incident leading to the Avengers developing a split over how to deal with situations, which escalates into an open fight between allies Iron Man and Captain America.
Martin Laws, from Jumpers Rebound Centre, confirmed the pair were at the centre and said they had fun. Mr Laws added: “Yes, it was good fun.
“They came for a meeting and to have a look at the equipment so they can do some training.
“He (Tom) took some equipment home so he can practise in his back garden.
“They were good lads.”
