A car blocked a lane on the M2 on Thursday morning after an incident on the London-bound motorway.

It is thought the vehicle hit the central reservation between junctions three and two.

Lane four of the carriageway had been closed as a result.

The accident was reported to the Highways Agency at 7.20am and the lane was reopened before 10.30am.

No injuries were reported.
