Police and paramedics were called to a busy roundabout this afternoon after reports of concern for a person.
Medway Tunnel and the slip-road leaving Pier Road on the approach were closed at about midday.
Two police cars and an ambulance were parked on the Maritime Way roundabout.
Reports suggest emergency services were called after concerns were raised for a person on the roundabout.
There were long delays for those travelling through the area, including the approaches to the Medway Tunnel, traffic coming off St Mary’s Island and motorists coming from Brompton.
Traffic was briefly held but soon released.
The emergency services were contacted for comment.
