Train services across Kent were disrupted tonight after a passenger had an accident.
The man, aged between 45 and 55, slipped and fell as he boarded a train at Strood.
According to Southeastern, he may have broken bones in the fall and gone into shock.
Train staff called the emergency services and took the injured man to Gravesend, where he was met by paramedics.
The accident caused delays to services leaving London, with some trains delayed for more than an hour.
A Southeastern trains spokesman said: "Our priority was to ensure he was properly cared for and Gravesend is the most appropriate station in the area for access to be provided for the emergency services.
"Unfortunately this has caused knock on delays for other passengers using our services this evening and we hope they will understand."
Services were back to normal by 8pm
