Travellers have moved onto a green in Rainham.

Several caravans arrived at Cozenton Park this afternoon.

Police were called to the scene but reportedly told residents it was a matter for the council.

It is not known if it is the same group reportedly evicted from West Motney Way earlier today.

Police were spotted at the scene at around 5.20pm.

One witness said: "They are apparently moving in circles from one site to another."

Last week, a group of around 30 caravans moved onto a field next to Riverside Country Park.
