Travellers have pitched up their caravans in a shopping centre car park.
Witnesses reported a number of caravans at the Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre in Gillingham.
Police were called to the site at 8.35pm on Monday, May 11, to reports of an unauthorised encampment in there.
A spokesman said: "Officers have attended the site and spoken with the landowner who will deal with any eviction process, as is standard procedure for civil matters."
It is believed the caravans left the carpark at around 5pm yesterday evening.
A Savills spokesperson said: "As the managing agent at Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre, Savills can confirm that travellers arrived on site without permission on Monday and have since left."
