A group of travellers have pitched up in a supermarket car park.
The encampment were first spotted outside Tesco, in Courteney Road, Twydall, Gillingham, at around 8pm last night and remain at the site this morning.
One man who drove by said: “There are 15 caravans, three horses and just rubbish everywhere.”
On Monday, a number of traveller caravans pitched up in the park opposite Bligh Primary School in Strood just two weeks after they were moved on.
Residents have since set up a petition to replace the park gate with a fixed barrier to stop groups from gaining access.
On Tuesday, a group of travellers moved onto Hook Meadow in Chatham for the third time in six weeks.
Residents living near the area said they are now living in fear after facing hostility and anti-social behaviour.
It is not known if the caravans currently outside Tesco are from the same group.
Police confirmed they have been made aware of the group and officers are assisting the landowner and will provide support where required.
Tesco has confirmed that the caravans have been asked to move and served notice.
