Trains delayed through Medway due to trespasser on the tracks near Gillingham Railway Station

There are delays on a railway line due to a trespasser on the tracks.

Trains were held at Gillingham Railway Station after power had to be switched off due to the incident.

The trespasser has now been apprehended by emergency services and is now off the tracks. Power to the line has been restored.

Some services have been cancelled while others are still experiencing delays.

Tickets are being accepted at no extra cost on certain bus routes.

These are Arriva 480, 101, 190, 191 and the the Fastrack bus B from Ebbsfleet to Gravesend and Dartford.

Emergency services and Southeastern have been approached for more information.
