Three people are have been arrested on suspicion of dealing cannabis in the Towns.

The trio were arrested while officers from the Medway local district policing team were on patrol in Rainham on Tuesday evening.

The three, two men and a woman , were arrested in the Grange Road area of town and officers found a quantity of herbal cannabis, a set of scales, and a quantity of a substance believed to be Class A drugs, which they seized from a vehicle.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: “A 22-year old man from Gillingham, a 26-year-old woman from Gillingham and a 27-year-old man from Chatham were arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis with intent to supply.

“The 27-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of possession of cocaine.”

All three have now been released while enquiries continue.
