A faulty tumble dryer is believed to have been the cause of a blaze this morning.
Three fire engines were called to a business in Chatham High Street at around 5.20am.
Crews used breathing apparatus and hose reel jets to extinguish the flames.
There were no reported injuries and the fire was out by 6.30am.
A fire service spokesman added that the cause was “believed to be linked to a tumble dryer”.
It came just 24 hours after a blaze at Oliver’s bar and restaurant in Rochester High Street.
Fire crews were sent to the bar at 8am on Monday and were still working to put out the flames at 11.30am.
A further update at 3pm on Monday said the fire was out and the cause had been attributed to a tumble dryer.
