Part of the Medway Tunnel was closed following a crash.

Traffic was at a standstill on surrounding roads following the closure of the westbound lane from Maritime Way to Anthony's Way in Chatham.

Witnesses described the roads around Medway City Estate as "snarled up".

The crash is understood to have happened around 4.30pm. It has since cleared.

Police have been approached for comment.
