VIDEO: Police forcibly restrained a man after a disturbance in New Road, Chatham which saw him and another ma arrested

Two policemen forcibly restrained a man on the roadside who allegedly assaulted one of the officers.

Two men were arrested and are currently in custody following a disturbance in New Road, Chatham, yesterday.

A spokeswoman for Kent Police said: "Officers on patrol came across two men at about 7pm, who became aggressive towards them.

The incident happened on the side of the road and was caught on camera by a passer-by.
