Two cars collided on a busy road in Gillingham this afternoon.

The accident happened at about 5.30pm not far from the junction with the M2.

James Walker, spokesman for Kent Police said: "Kent Police was called at 5.27pm a two car collision in Hoath Way, Gillingham.

"Officers are in attendance and both vehicles have been cleared from the road.

"At present, no serious injuries have been reported and inquiries at the scene are ongoing."
