Suspected drug dealers appear in court after cocaine seized in St Albans Close, Gillingham

A pair of suspected drug dealers have appeared in court after a large quantity of cocaine was seized.

At around 11.30am yesterday (October 3) patrolling constables saw two men acting suspiciously at the back of a Vauxhall Astra in St Albans Close, Gillingham.

One of the men got into a Fiat van and drove off and the constables followed.

When it stopped in Dawes Street, they gained entry to the van and detained the man for a drug search.

A bag found to contain 45 deals of cocaine, a quantity of cash and a mobile phone was seized and the driver was arrested and taken into custody.

The officers returned to St Albans Road and arrested the other suspect. They also seized a further 45 cocaine deals from the boot of the Astra.

Jacob Robson, of York Road, Gravesend, and Bradley McDade, of no fixed address, were later charged with possessing class A drugs with intent to supply.

Robson, 31 and McDade, 25, appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court today where they were remanded to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on a date to be confirmed.
