Two dead horses have been found dumped by the side of the road near a farm in Hoo.
The horses, thought to be a mother and her foal, were found under a load of conifer cuttings near Beluncle Farm on the Stoke Road.
The animals, which have been there since at least Monday, were found by Billy Palmer, who lives in the village.

Mr Palmer, 31, who works in security, said: “I discovered them at the start of the week and called Medway Council to come and collect them.
“I also contact the Animals Lost and Found in Kent and the ladies came out to see if the horses were chipped, but they are not.
"I helped them uncover the horses so they could check to see if they were chipped.
“We think one is about three years old and the other is under a year.
“I spoke to the farmer and he said he had noticed they were there on Monday, so maybe they were put there at the weekend.
“The foal was in a ton bag and its head was pinned under the mother, it looks like they were dumped off the back of a truck.
"The horses are now uncovered and are just at the side of the road its very distressing sight to see.
“I phoned Medway Council again to complain they had still not been taken away and was just told contractors know about it and we will deal with it.
“Hopefully the horses will be gone soon as the sight of them is upsetting lots of people in the village.”
Medway Council said on this morning the animals were removed from the roadside yesterday afternoon.
