Two mile queues after broken down vehicle in Medway Tunnel

Drivers are experiencing long delays following a breakdown in the Medway Tunnel.

There are reported queues of around two miles due to a broken down vehicle on the westbound carriageway, heading towards Strood from Chatham

One lane has been closed due to the incident.

Kent Police confirmed they were called at 8.08am to a report a car had broken down in the Medway tunnel, Strood-bound.

Officers attended the scene to help ensure public safety and the car was recovered by 10.07am.
