Two men have been charged with drug dealing after an incident which saw a main road closed off.
Traffic was left at a standstill in Dock Road, Chatham, on Thursday from 10.30am, when officers spotted a vehicle they believed was suspicious.
The driver is alleged to have sped off, smashing into a number of cars travelling in the opposite direction.
Police closed the road at the junction with Globe Lane and arrested the driver and passenger.
They also seized Class A drugs.
Officers later charged Leesean Francis, 20, of Bridgetown Close, London, and 19-year-old Joshua Malcom, of Wingford Road, London, with possessing cocaine and heroin with intent to supply.
Francis was also charged with dangerous driving, driving without insurance and driving without a licence.
Both appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Saturday where they were remanded into custody, pending a future hearing.
