Two women wanted by police have been arrested in Hoo.

Lisa Edwards, 41, a prisoner at HMP East Sutton Park in Maidstone, had failed to return to the prison on Saturday, June 22 after she was released on a temporary licence.

She was wanted, along with 48-year-old Alison McDonald, who had previously been recalled to prison.

Both were arrested at an address in Hoo yesterday afternoon following a police hunt.

The pair have been taken into custody at Medway police station.

A police spokesman thanked the public for their help.
