The foxes plaguing Walderslade are becoming more and more defiant.

This photograph was taken in Campion Close, Walderslade by Mike Johnson, as the rubbish was waiting to be collected.

The council has a rule to stop foxes and cats from attacking bags, saying they must not be put out until just before 7am.

But this fox brazenly attacked the bag as the dustcart arrived at 7.30am. on Monday.

As reported in that morning’s Medway Messenger, three days before, another Walderslade resident, Peter Outen of Scotby Avenue, was startled by a fox.

It had got into his kitchen and was attacking the waste bin.

After shouting and throwing things at the laid-back raider, Mr Outen eventually used a broom to hook up its back legs and drag it out of his kitchen.
